The Corvair dining table is made from solid oak.

Solid timber is a natural living product. From time to time the timber can move, develop imperfections and minor splits/cracks as the timber expands and contracts due to environmental conditions. This is normal and should be expected, this should not be considered a fault or flaw, rather, it is a unique and beautiful characteristic of your piece. This will not impact on the strength of the table top.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth. Coasters and place mats recommended for hot products and to protect against wear and tear.
